This summer, CWC Year 1 Fellow Isabelle took her passion for creativity and content to the next level, participating in an internship at Anthropologie as a Social Media Content Intern.

Isabelle has been with Creatives Want Change since its inception. She joined the program in 2021 as one of our very first Fellows and has remained committed to her growth and creativity ever since. Through CWC, Isabelle completed pre-college programs at FIT, The Academy of Art, SCAD, and Parsons School of Design. She utilized everything she learned during those four years to strengthen her portfolio and college applications, earning acceptance into Drexel University's fashion program and securing an internship at Anthropologie.
At Anthropologie, Isabelle stepped into the fast-paced world of fashion marketing, contributing to the brand’s digital storytelling and social identity. Her responsibilities included researching content trends, sourcing samples for videos, directing and editing TikToks, and pitching video concepts for the official Anthropologie TikTok account. She also supported the team by taking meeting notes and helping schedule content.

We asked Issy to reflect on her experience. Here’s what she shared:
What are two key things you learned during your internship?
“One lesson I learned is to promise later and deliver more. Setting a realistic timeline allows you to produce quality work and take pride in it. I also learned that not every moment needs to be about pitching yourself. Sometimes, just being authentic and building relationships leads to the best opportunities.”
Did the internship shift your perspective in any way?
“Yes, it helped me give myself more grace. I now have a better understanding of how different teams work together in a corporate environment and have more clarity about the kinds of settings I thrive in.”
Are there any projects you’re especially proud of?
“I’m proud of several TikToks I pitched that were produced and published. The internship isn’t over yet, and I’m still working on a few exciting projects that I can’t wait to share.”

What were your favorite parts of the internship?
“I loved getting to film with different people and collaborate creatively. It was fun, fast-paced, and full of great energy.”
With the support of CWC, Isabelle continues to grow as a designer, storyteller, and creative professional. This internship provided her with new insights into the fashion industry and the impact of digital content.
